Which way?

Up or down? Left or right? Swim or fly? Black or white? Spoilt for choice, we have to make decisions every day. Most of them are minor ones: cinema or couch? Pizza or toast? What shall I wear? – okay, one step back, this might be a bad example as choosing the right clothes could also be a tough one 😉

Although I would love to, life is no pony farm, so we also have to face the difficult decisions about where we want to go in our life. What are the goals and which way do we choose to achieve them? Some of them might hit us hard, some bring joy, others might bring tears. The most important note is to remain true to oneself.

For Cee’s Which Way Photo Challenge, I have chosen 2 pictures: one country – one city. Currently, this is my personal gray area. Cliché or not: I am Austrian and I love mountains. Snowboarding, hiking and climbing – all year-long, you can enjoy outdoor activities and adventures. Pure nature experience and living. On the other side, I live in a city (I know – Vienna with its 1.5 mio inhabitants might not be comparable to any US or Asian city, but still – it’s the largest city Austria has to offer). Cultural life in Vienna with all its history, theatres, cinemas, exhibitions, museums and galleries is amazing and plentiful. Both, countryside and city, have their advantages, both are attracting. At the moment, I am happy with my choice, but in my dreams I am already building my castle high up in the mountains….
