Travel bug: street art
Wherever we walk, there might be a glimpse of art and style around us – sometimes at the most unexpected places. Street art can be funny, critical, massive, colorful, but it always catches your eye.
These pictures have been taken during my various journeys during the last couple of years. For me, sightseeing is about exploring foreign places off the beaten touristic paths and identifying the little treasures out there.
These are stunning!

You found some really awesome street art. I forgot that’s what it called. It always amazes me how beautiful this style of art is, like the one you have from the UK with the steam train and the circus performers. I especially like the street art on the cargo train cars here in my home town. It’s a blast to sit and wait on a train because I get to see all the artwork as I wait. Do you ever wonder how they get to some of the places they paint on?

the artists take a big risk not to be caught. mostly they spray at night and under time pressure – I also mostly see them along the underground or train stations. Some of them, are really great, but they never get rewarded for their work
