Abandoned
Lonesome places might hide some secret treasure. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Going through my archives, I have chosen some pictures for this week’s Fun Foto Challenge with the topic: “Abandoned buildings or barns” that I took on one of my holidays on the Azores, Portugal. The Azores provide millions of photo opportunities. The volcanic landscape, nature and beaches are rich of stunning beauty of all kind. While travelling, I always walk around screening my surroundings with a picture frame in my mind.
I like paying attention to small details and often spend a lot of time at some places others just pass by without noticing at all. Beside the colorful, stunning beach and volcano island photos of the Azores that could be out of a travel advertisement, I have decided to post this series today to give this hidden places the possibility to shine.

I love that Street Art post, I’ll say again, you captured some incredible work. I like these photos above too, especially the landscape one at the end. You found great composition with the layering of rocks and shrubs and then the decayed building in the background. You’re not the only one who is constantly “screening my surroundings” I do that too. I would love to travel like you do. I’m thankful to see the world through your lens though. You do a terrific job of finding the visually interesting stuff!
