Indoor beauties
Finally, winter has spread its grey and white sheets all over Vienna. Basically, it is wet, cold and grey all day. After running for an hour through the winter landscape, I decided to spend some time with my indoor flowers. Over the years, orchids have accumulated in every room. I cannot resist when I come across a new beauty.
Currently, my most special one is Vanda. She is hanging from the gallery into my bedroom. Vandas do not require potting medium. This beauty is about 1,5m in height (from root to blossom). As I am not a morning person, she brightens up any morning – true to the motto: surround yourself with small treasures of happiness.
Beautiful! Love the last one. π

Wow how cool is an unpotted orchid?! I love that. I have two hanging like that in a tree in my front garden, but it’s quite hot here and they aren’t coping very well… Beautiful photos.

they are a bit tricky and require quite a lot of humidity. Now in winter, it is pretty dry indoors and I have to put it in the shower frequently or spray it with a bottle of water.
