Out of wax
This weekend, I met some celebrities: Angelina Jolie, Mahatma Gandhi, Einstein, Empress Sissi, Queen Elizabeth II – just to name a few. After dancing with Freddy Mercury, I had some coffee with George Clooney, painted some nice art work with Friedensreich Hundertwasser and finally landed completely exhausted on Sigmund Freud’s couch.
All celebrities were patiently smiling at the cameras – no suprise, they were made out of wax. Madame Tussaud’s in Vienna opened in 2011. Since then, it has been one of the highlights of the Viennese Prater, the famous amusement park with the Giant Wheel. Although living in Vienna for ages, I have never been at the waxworks museum.
This weekend, I decided to follow some of the touristy tracks myself, visiting my home city like a tourist. I took a ride on the Giant Wheel. As so often in winter, the weather was gray, anyhow, the view up there is still amazing. Walking through the waxworks museum later on, turned out to be lots of fun.
Lucile reopened the Photo101 Rehab Clinic, so I decided to recycle some of the pictures I have posted during the Photo101 course combined with the new pictures of this weekend. If you also are a photo addict and miss the Photo101 course, please join the clinic. To find out more, visit Lucile’s blog.
