Danube nature reserve
The Danube wetlands (9300 hectar) build a stunning green belt between Vienna and Bratislava.
This meadowland is a natural treasure shining all year-long. It harbours a huge diversity of species more than 800 higher plants, 30 mammals, 100 birds, 8 reptiles and 13 amphibian as well as around 60 species of fishes.
