Adding some drama
Montserrat in Spain, close to Barcelona, is a multi-peaked mountain famous for the abbey on top.
While most people around me were focusing on the abbey, I made some shots to document the outlook.
Inspired by Desley’s photo rebooting, I decided to try some editing on the picture and show you the before and after.
Quickly summarised, I increased the contrast, changed it to b&w, and enhanced the background. What do you think?
In response to Desley’s and Lucile’s Image Reboot and Cee’s Black and White Photo Challenge: Older than 50 years.
That’s some great drama you’ve added here Nalink – very “monochromatic dramatic”. So glad you were inspired 🙂

I think you did a great editing and resurrected the saint! Not kidding. Thats why I like monochrome. The higher contrast just brings a totally different perspective. Love it.

Thank you so much, the image completely changed its character through the monochrome. I was surprised how much it changed with only a few clicks

You’re most welcome. That is why sometimes I say that editing is a bit like plastic surgery! 😉
