8. January 2015

That’s what winter is supposed to look like

This place is close to my home and part of my regular running route. I love to run through the wood any time of the year and watch the seasons change. Through 2015, I will monthly post a set of pictures taken on my running route to share with you the seasonal change. The positive side effect for me is that I will stay fit throughout the year 🙂 Thanks to Cardinal Guzman to start this Monthly Photo Challenge!

I took this pictures today while running through the wood. I love the sound of snow crunching under my feet. Running in such a winter wonderland brings new energy to your empty inner batteries. The perfect energy boost!

Stunningly beautiful winter shots! It must have been quite a blizzard, because the snow is stuck on the side of the trees. Amazing gallery and I’m very glad that you’ve joined my challenge!

Wow. I wouldn’t mind all the snow as long as the sun is shining. Here we have endless rain. I tried to start shooting yesterday for Cardinal Challenge but I’m not keen to be out in the rain.

Thank you! Snow with sunshine is just perfect. The bad side is when it takes you 20 minutes in the morning to get your car somewhat ice and snow free 🙂 You could take some pictures out of your window with the rain drops on it – and next month with sunshine. Playing with the effects of rain and sun on the glass might give some nice shots as well through the seasons.

  I’m going to make some photos anyways as you suggested. I made some night photos yesterday when I was at the city center for the demonstration in solidarity to the victims in Paris, and I may use some of them. There is a better forecast for the weekend. So, I’ll be shooting again.

Hi, I live in Vienna, Austria. We actually did not have any snow until the end of December. So this winter I was even more excited when the first snow arrived 🙂

Wow how did i miss this post, bbrrr it looks so cold yet so stunning. I spotted a photo of a cat zoomed up on his nose omg so cute 😀 I am also doing the monthly challenge, it’s great isnt it yet i fear i shall have no snow to photograph which is so atmospheric, wonderful shots x
